I refute the notion that delivering aid to storm victims is a new cause for the Occupy movement. The core, underlying belief within the movement revolves around delivering aid to storm victims and it always has.

Those masses of people who came out last year, erecting tents all across the nation, were not simply protesting. They were delivering aid to the victims of the economic storm. The most impoverished Americans were given shelter, food, water, clothing and professional medical attention. They were given hygiene products. They were counseled, when necessary.
